okay so what we're going to do is
install a beautiful wordpress theme
a free theme on our very affordable
bluehost hosting plan
this is the basic plan it only costs
about 2.95 cents a month that's pretty
much as low as you can get
with a decent hosting plan we are here
at the my account center page to get
here you just click your profile here
and select products that'll lead you to
this page and when you're in this page
let's click
my sites wordpress my sites okay
add a site site name it's going to
create a new wordpress site
and let's see and just click next
okay it's going to install in my
mercy.net domain
and right now i want to start fresh i
don't want any plugins
so i'm going to click these off

so congratulations wordpress is
installed successfully it was
pretty much a one or two click
installation process
super easy it's not that easy in many
hosting plans but in bluehost it's
really that easy
because i didn't fill in the advanced
information meaning my email and
password and username
it did it for me it took the first part
of my email
and it gave me my own password you can
look at it by clicking the i
and copy it and the website is an https
site so it's secured it comes free with
the basic account
and this is the login url let's log into
wordpress click here
i'm now in the wordpress admin dashboard
so i did not have to copy and paste
my password i just clicked that link
from the bluehost
page first thing i want to do is check
the website it should be up and running
let's check it now we're looking at the
new wordpress website
this is the default theme for 2020 and
the second thing i want to do is check
the page speed
what i'll do is go to google's page
speed insights right here
and just copy the url paste it here
and let google test the speed google
gave this
page a 83 rating that's pretty good
it's not the best there's other hosts
out there that are faster that can get
you to the 90s
but of course they're more expensive
with the bluehost basic plan which is
one of the cheapest you can get it's
still fairly fast
at 83. that's not bad next let's go to
plugins let's see what plugins are
installed
i don't need this bluehost control panel
so i'll deactivate this
it installed jetpack as well but let's
deactivate that
i want to start as clean as possible
let's check the
page speed again let's just see if that
improved our page speed
the url is already there analyze again
okay now the website has a score of 98.
so what slowed us down to 83 was either
one or two of those plug-ins that were
activated and now they're deactivated
and our bluehost site is now
really fast okay this theme is you know
hard to work with right you need to be
a designer to really make this look good
so what we're going to do is install
a really beautiful theme and it's free
and it's called astra so let's do that
now
let's go to our appearance over here
to the left appearance themes
this is the installed theme right here
what we want to do
is add a new theme so click here add new
and in the search bar type astra
a-s-t-r-a
this is it not astral but astra let's
just go ahead and install that one
this is what i think is the best free
theme out there
let's activate it okay the theme is
activated so now let's check what it
looks like
refresh the home page okay it's very
simple okay this is a skeleton
theme right here and it needs to be
edited a lot or you bring in
a template and that's what we're going
to do back to wordpress
and over here click the theme details
and down here it says astra options
click that
and over to the right column the first
block it says
install importer plugin let's click
that we're going to import some plugins
and also
some templates there's four page
builders here i like elementor because
it has the most
free templates i think it has over 50
templates
while beaver builder is around 40. so
let's click
elementor and here are all the templates
some of these are free some are paid
so to see only the free ones you can
click here
the drop down highlight the free and now
only the free ones are showing
and there's about 50 of them
for different industries and different
purposes
for this demo let's select the first one
it's called outdoor adventure
looks pretty good and this template
comes with five pages the home page
about page services
projects and contact and down here to
install it
click import complete site
keep the default checks on import
customizer settings
widgets and content okay it's importing
everything that it needs
including the plugins and the templates
and the content
and the images of the template it's done
that took about a minute and a half
and let's view our site i'm going to
view the new
site in chrome's guest browser where i'm
not logged in to wordpress so you don't
see the black bar above
this is the new website we were able to
install
we went from this to this
by installing the template and it also
brought in some plugins and the images
and the content now within a few minutes
we have a professional looking beautiful
website
ready to be customized to your needs and
we did this all in a
2.95 a month plan in bluehost
and with a free theme and we didn't have
to hire anybody to do this for us

pictures images to replace these right

message sometimes this
form won't work due to certain settings
that's not in the scope of this demo
right now this quick demo
but if you subscribe i'll be uploading a
lot more tutorials and how to get

including the web form okay back to the
home page so the other thing i want to
do now is
check the page speed of this site which
has a lot of pictures
back to page speed and we're going from
98
we're going to analyze this with all the
pictures the templates installed
and see what the performance is we can't
expect it to be high
because that template has so many large
images
and we score a 54. that's not bad
compared to other hosting plans that
are more expensive i've installed the
same thing
in other more expensive host plans and
we're getting about the same score in
the 50s
so this is not bad for a cup of coffee a
month you can get a fast
website that's also beautiful and
functional
without having to hire anybody so that's
how you can create a beautiful
professional site
in the bluehost basic package which can
be as low as 2.95
a month check the description section
below because there's also certain
techniques you can do to get the
cheapest possible price and i'll show
you how
