let's create a professional website in
just a few minutes with wordpress and
what i think is the best free
combination
of a wordpress theme and easy to use
visual page builder here in 2020

okay so let's get started i'm assuming
you already have your domain
and you're already registered for your
hosting and now you're at the point
where you're ready to install your
website
using wordpress installing wordpress is
different between the hosting plans
but it's pretty easy so all you have to
do is log into your host plan
and find the domain you're registered
for so here we are
i'm going to use my domain now and
there's
different options i'm going to create a
website using wordpress
there's other options there but i'm
going to use wordpress
let's get started it's usually a
one-click process for most hosting plans
okay enter a title for your website
create website
admin login and your password click the
box for the terms of use
continue okay in many hosting plans
they'll
offer you the regular wordpress
installation or a manage wordpress
installation
i think you don't need to manage
wordpress plus it costs a little bit of
money so just go with the standard
wordpress installation continue
okay so that took about a minute to a
minute and a half and your wordpress
website is ready
and it's installed with the default
wordpress theme which is
today 2020 but we don't want that what
we want to do
is install the best free wordpress theme
so go to edit website enter your login
information
okay so here we are in the wordpress
dashboard to install the best free theme
let's go to appearance
this is the current active theme but we
don't want this
let's add new
type in astra
so this is it astra install
and activate
to see what the basic astra theme looks
like it's very simple it looks like this
not much to go with it's just bare bones
skeleton theme
so now what we want to do is bring in
one of the astra
templates so click theme details
astra options and over here in this
section
import starter template click install
importer plugin
it presents you with four page builders
this is the default wordpress one we
don't want that
i'm not sure about breezy these are the
two good free
page builders they're almost equal but i
kind of like
elementor a little bit more so let's go
with elementor
now you're presented with all the
templates available for astra
but we only want the free one so go over
here drop down
free so elementor has 49 free templates
as of 2020
and let's quickly scroll down to see
what they look like
now there's some really nice templates
here depending on what industry you're
in
for this demo let's just choose the
first one it's called outdoor adventure
click it so the templates it comes with
is the home page about page services
projects and contact
and click import complete site it's
going to install the customizer settings
widgets required plugins and content
this is where it installs elementor the
visual page builder
it installs a few pages starting pages
and the media for it that like the
pictures and the text
that took less than a minute probably
about 40 seconds
and we're done so that only took a few
minutes
and our new professional looking website
is ready so let's view it
okay so in a few minutes this is what
our website looks like
looks pretty professional it looks like
you paid somebody
hundreds or thousands of dollars to
create this for you
and it comes with the about page who we
are
services
it's really nice projects
contact it already comes with a contact
us
page ready with a form where people can
enter their name email and message and
it'll be sent to you right off the box
it might not work you might not receive
the details of this
form when somebody sends a message but
that's for another video you can
subscribe to see the other
edits we need to do to make all this
work out and edit the whole
website to customize it to your liking
let's go back to home
so what we've done in a few minutes
we've installed wordpress
then we installed astra theme which i
think is the best
free theme available for wordpress right
now then we installed the starter
template which gave us an option to
choose
which template of 49 beautiful templates
and doing that also allowed us to
install the plugins to make this whole
thing work including the page builder
elementor and wp forms which makes the
forums and email work
so in a few minutes we were able to
create a beautiful professional looking
website
it's a great starting point but there's
still a lot to be done to customize it
for your needs
with your own information and images i
want to emphasize that it's not hard and
there's no coding involved you just have
to follow step-by-step tutorials
