Crop Image with Heart Shape in Gravit Designer Mask Cut Out Tutorial 2020

in this quickie lesson we are going to

take an image and crop it with a heart

for all those Valentine's romantic and

love related situations and we are going

to use one of my favorite tools Gravett

designer I love it because it's powerful

and yet very easy to use unlike many

other graphic applications out there

let's do it

okay so this is what it looks like when

you launch Gravett what I'm going to

select is website huge nineteen twenty

by twelve eighty that's my full screen

that's full HD this is our blank canvas

so to get an image here it's so easy

just browse your filesystem and

drag-and-drop a image this is an image I

found from unsplash just drag it there

and drag it to the center you can also

use these centering buttons here center

here and center there okay now we go

over here and click shapes you have all

these shapes there's two kinds of hearts

here let's select this second one you

can drag it around and click one of the

corners to reshape you can also change

the aspect by dragging the sides or the

top like this you can also rotate it by

grabbing this white dot and just

rotating it and if you want to quickly

undo something you just press ctrl-z

it'll take you back I'm just going to

make this bigger by capturing more of

the scenery now the trick is to select

both the heart shape and your image so

right now the heart is selected and I'm

going to hold down the shift key and

click the image so now you can see

there's an outline on both the heart

shape and the image so they're both

selected and now right click with your

mouse button and select mask with shape

and there it is you have that nice heart

frame around your image so now what we

have to do is export it so this is

selected the blue is selected let's

click this little icon here that's

advanced export

and click this just the selection not

the entire canvas click this make sure

it's PNG and that the background is

transparent and click export' give it a

name save now let's take a look at our

end result here it is this is our

original image and this is our new image

framed with a heart oh and since this

has a transparent background meaning

this area here is transparent when you

copy this and paste this onto your

graphics application you'll only see the

heart shape you won't see any squares

around here you can use this for your

social media profile avatars and I'll

have that heart shape okay and that's

how we take a standard image and frame

it with a heart and that concludes this
